Bethesda International Prayer Centre

In the year 1984, the Lord appeared in a vision to Dr.D.G.S. Dhinakaran and Commissioned him to rise the Bethesda International Prayer Centre. He also thus explained the reason for it:

"My son! When I lived in this world, of all that I did, the one that is close to my heart was to touch the sick with My hand and heal them! When you go to a town to conduct 'Jesus Calls Good News Meetings' nearly half-a-million people throng the ground. I come there, lay My hand and heal the sick. But after that, you don't go to that place again. Sometimes you go there only after 5 or 6 years. Till then where will those people experience My healing power? So, to enable those who travail in body, mind and spirit receive My healing touch, raise a structure like 'Bethesda' of the days of the Bible. When people come there and pray, and when Prayer Warriors apply oil over them and pray for them, I shall touch them with My hand and heal them."

True to this promise, the Lord has been blessing countless people, who throng to the Bethesda International Prayer Centre every day. The miracles that people experience here are truly astonishing!

Bethesda International Prayer Centre is set amidst the scenic splendor of the Siruvani Hills, 25 kms. away from the industrial city of Coimbatore. The landscape surrounding the Prayer Centre is beautiful with hills, waterfalls, green pastures and rivulets, providing the most peaceful atmosphere for prayer and meditation.

The Prayer Centre is open on all days from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. .

Temples

Marudhamalai Temple

Marudhamalai Shri Murugan Temple is a small natural hill lying to the west of Coimbatore.  The temple dedicated to Lord Murugan is at a height of 600 feet from the foot of the hill.

Located on a hillock about 12 km from Coimbatore railway Station, is one of the most visited temples in the region. One of the reasons of the large number of devotees flocking the temple is that the residing deity Dandayuthapani is believed to have performed several miracles here. Thai poosam and tirukarthigai festivals are celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at this temple.

Perur Patteeswara Swamy Temple

It is located 7 kms away from the city and is said to be built by Karikala Cholan before 1500 years. The temple is dedicated to Lord Patteeswarar and his better half Pachainayaki. Devotees gather during the festive occasions. The Kanagasabai hall has some exciting sculptures. This is one of the ancient temple. The temple stands on the banks of the holy river Noyyal called 'Kanchi Manadi' by the locals. It is believed that the mortal remains of the dead turn into white stones after about 144 days.  Pilgrims from all over visit this spot to pay homage to their ancestors.

The greatest attraction of the temple is the 'Kanaka Saba' or the golden hall which is adorned by a gold plated statue of Nataraja bestowing blessings upon the two sages - Gowmuni and Pattimuni. The gopurams and pillars of the hall are exquisitely carved out sculptures highlighting Dravidian architecture.

Eachanari Temple

The temple is located at Pollachi Main Road, Eachanari. The idol that is 6 feet tall with 3 feet breadth. This temple lays 13 Km away from coimbatore on the pollachi main road.

Dhyanalinga Temple

Dhyanalinga was consecrated by Sadhguru Jaggi, Vasudev, a realized Master, Mystic and Yogi, after three years of intense process of prana prathista. Measuring 13' 9'', Dhyanalingam is the largest mercury based live Linga in the world. The free spanning dome that enshrines the Dhyanalingam measures 77' in diameter and is the largest of its kind in the world.          

Arulmigu Chokkalingeswarar Aalayam

This temple is located at on Erode road, Avinashi 40 kms from Coimbatore. This temple was built by 'Sundara Pandiya' in the 15th century.  

Avinashi Temple

The Avinashi Lingeswarar temple is about 40 km from (Coimbatore. Avinashi is also known as Southern Banaras. Dating back to the 12th century AD this is the biggest temple in Coimbatore district built by the Cholas. There are, fine stone carvings in the temple. This place was earlier called Pikkoigul.
